The adventures, thoughts, and general scrawlings of a classical pianist

Disneyland

Excuse the lack of posts—I’m sure you’re used to it (will making fun of my own ability to post frequently ever get old? I don’t think so!)—for I have been in the supposed Happiest Place On Earth for  a week.

This post is brought to you by Sharon’s Incurable Laziness. I am pretty sure I am the laziest person you will ever know—people seem to think that I am incredibly productive, what with the instruments and research papers and design projects, but really I am oh-so-very-lazy-thank-you-very-much-and-proud-of-it.

You may have noticed, if you read blogs other than mine (and you do, because otherwise that would be pathetic!) that a lot of people with blogs seem to get away with posting mostly pictures and very little actual writing, although cropping, color-correcting, and watermarking photos actually takes some effort. To get around this, many lazy busy bloggers just post Instagram photos. (No cropping! No color-correcting! The magic iPhone does it for you, such is the power of hipsters!)

Well, I beat all of them at laziness efficiency, because this post will be Instagram photos that my boyfriend took. That’s right, I didn’t even have to take the photos myself! If there were an Olympics event for laziness least effort put into a blog, I’d win all the medals.

If I get around to it, I may also post some photos that Bryce (the aforementioned boyfriend, obviously) took with his fancy-schmancy Canon with a 35mm lens. That’s right, in addition to harvesting Instagram photos I didn’t even have to take for my blog, I also get professional-quality photos that I didn’t have to take either. I told you I was good at this blogging-with-minimal-effort thing.

Me looking all pensive in our room at the Disneyland Hotel. Magic and dreams make one quite thoughtful.

CARS LAND WAS SO COOL YEAH

Amazing artistic and engineering feat reduced to a small unimpressive digital square? Check.

While haggard parents drag their sticky, squalling kids in the sun, we escape to a rooftop lounge to enjoy some quality wine in the shade. #winning

Photos from the humble point-and-shoot:

Lightning, Mater, and Red are actual cars that drive around Cars Land. It’s fantastic.

Artsy macro shot of my Mickey Mouse cake pop. Le Boyfriend attempts to be the center of attention, but who can compete with a cake-marshmallow-chocolate-sugar-jelly-bean confection? Ooh, that rhymed.

Perhaps there will be more photos later. Who knows? For now, I have emails to answer and real life to get back to. Sigh.
